Top Producing Mortgage Loan Officers Recognized by VHDA

The Virginia Housing Development Authority recently recognized 50 mortgage loan officers across the state for originating the most VHDA loans during the past year to help provide safe, affordable homes for Virginians.

“These loan officers have done a great job of helping us meet our affordable housing goals,” said Michele Watson, Director of VHDA Homeownership Programs. “In addition to originating loans using VHDA’s products, they have enthusiastically embraced our affordable first-time homebuyer and alternative loan options to help more Virginians realize the dream of homeownership.”

In addition to producing the most loans, the loan officers were recognized for their commitment to first-time homebuyers, including helping more than 4,400 Virginians to become homeowners, teaching VHDA Homeownership Education classes and serving on VHDA’s Homeownership Advisory Board.

“I strongly believe in VHDA programs, and their first-time homebuyer program has always been one of my specialties,” said VHDA Platinum Circle producer Vickie Painter of C&F Mortgage Corp. in Fishersville, VA. “I find working with first-time buyers to be very rewarding because I can help educate them on the process of buying and maintaining their first home.”

“VHDA makes the dream of homeownership accessible to the first-time homebuyer by providing low down payment options and excellent rates to keep the payments affordable,” added VHDA Platinum Circle producer Ingrid Sell of Village Bank Mortgage in Richmond. “In addition, VHDA works very well with our bank’s grant programs.”
