Know anyone looking for an affordable place to
live in Northern Virginia? Then tell them to visit the 2013 Northern Virginia
Housing Expo this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This annual event, which
rotates throughout Northern Virginia, is being held this year in Falls Church.
The Expo is a great way to check out free workshops and exhibits that make it
easy to learn more about homeownership opportunities and resources — including
location options and how to be prepared for buying or renting. You’ll find a
list of exhibitors and free workshops at www.NoVaHousingExpo.org.
Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School
at I-66 and Route 7, conveniently adjacent to the West Falls Church Metro
station, is the site of this year’s Expo. There’s free parking on site, as well
as at the neighboring UVA-VT and Metro parking lots.
The Expo is being hosted by
Fairfax-based nonprofit AHOME in cooperation with the cities of Alexandria and
Falls Church, the counties of Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun, the Towns of
Herndon and Manassas and--VHDA.
So, save the date for this special
event, and don’t forget to stop by and say hello (you’ll find Jose Paiz at VHDA’s
information table).
